Susie Sandover

A fascinating talk on the past, present and future of Libya from someone who has experience first hand.

Join us for coffee and cake prior to hearing Susie Sandover talk about her life – “Libya: A Love Lived. A Life Betrayed’ depicting the loving support of her career Libyan diplomat husband during the Gadaffi regime, his family’s attempts to destroy their relationship and the full force of Sharia law following his death. Her book displays her vast insider knowledge on Libya’s political, social and cultural history together with details of the last year of the Gaddafi regime. Later chapters deal with post-revolutionary Libya. It is a great opportunity to learn, first hand, about Libyan society.
The host, the Australian Women’s Club is a fun, dynamic group which offers a wide range of activities and iconic celebrations.
