The Australian Girl by Elise Lamb

A new play inspired by the life of Australian writer Louise Mack, the first female war correspondent during WWI.

“Haven’t you heard? The Kaiser has given orders that all English War Correspondents are to be shot on sight.”

The Australian Girl shares Louise’s inspiring story of courage from a young hopeful writer from Sydney, Australia to a determined war journalist who witnessed the German invasion of Belgium in 1914.

Programmed as part of Theatre N16’s Military Season.

Directed by Grace Taylor with an ensemble cast including Navinder Bhatti, Fleur de Wit, Davey Seagle & Oliver West, lead by Elise Lamb as Louise Mack.
